2020 Honda City India launch next month
- Reports reveal that the fifth-gen Honda City is all set to launch in India in March and a teaser campaign for the same has already been started.
- Overall larger than the outgoing model with over 100 mm added to its length, the 2020 Honda City gains a fresh, Civic inspired design which looks quite understated. On the inside as well, the mid-size sedan gains a clean new look for its dashboard.
- What is more or less confirmed is that the next-gen model will continue to be powered by BS6-compliant versions of the same 1.5-litre petrol & diesel engines from the outgoing model. In Thailand, a new 1.0-litre turbo petrol is also on offer, but most likely, this engine won’t make it to India.
- Expected to ve priced around Rs 10-16 lakh ex-showroom, the 2020 City will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and the just revealed global-spec Verna facelift, which will soon launch in India as well.
