2020 Honda CIty launched at Rs 10.89 lakh
- The fifth-generation Honda City has been launched in India at Rs 10.89-14.64 lakh. It will be sold alongside the petrol variants of the old City.
- The 2020 Honda City has a larger footprint that the fourth-generation model, the length has been increased by 109 mm, width by 53 mm and height by 6 mm. However, the wheelbase of this C-sedan remains the same at 2,600 mm.
- Engine options on the car include a brand new 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated i-Vtec petrol unit that generates 119 bhp and 145 Nm. It comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-step CVT gearbox. The diesel engine is the familiar 1.5-litre i-Dtec unit that makes 98 bhp and 200 Nm. A 6-speed manual is the sole gearbox option with the diesel engine.
- The ARAI-rated fuel efficiency figures are 17.8 km/l for petrol manual, 18.4 km/l for petrol CVT and 24.1 km/l for diesel manual.
- Three variants are available on the 2020 Honda City – V, VX and ZX. Standard equipment on the top-end variant includes 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 7-inch MID, Honda Connect with 32 connected car features, sunroof, all-LED lamps, Alexa integration, 16-inch alloys, ambient lighting, remote engine start, CVT paddle shifts, etc.
