2021 Force Gurkha teased
The Force Gurkha has been quite a peculiar vehicle – incredibly tough but pretty crude. Now, the niche off-roader will soon launch in an all-new improved avatar in India.
Pune-based Force Motors has announced on its social media channels about the arrival of the 2021 BS6 Gurkha. As per an official statement, it is “expected to hit the roads next quarter”.
Showcased at Auto Expo 2020, the BS6 Force Gurkha will bring a host of new changes, most notably a refreshed face which adds a new grille, updated front bumper and optional LED headlamps. The cabin will also see much-welcome updates such as a touchscreen infotainment system.
Not just this, the Force Gurkha will now also meet the necessary new safety standards in India with the addition of dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and parking sensors.
The SUV will use a BS6-compliant 2.6-litre turbo diesel engine with 89hp of power and 260Nm of torque. It will get a 5-speed gearbox with low-range transfer case and an independent suspension setup at the front with a rigid axle at the rear.
