2021 Lamborghini Countach revealed with a classic design; V12 hybrid power
The Lamborghini Countach has returned as a limited-run hypercar. It, in every way, is inspired by the original Countach from the 70s which makes it a lot more special.
The design of the 2021 Countach retains the iconic wedge-shaped silhouette of the original car. The front and rear design elements also pay homage to the classic model, however, the super-cool pop-up headlamps, sadly, haven’t returned. The car has scissor doors, though.
On the inside, however, is where it is not inspired by the original model as things look pretty modern here. There are a lot of amenities inside the cabin as well, including dual displays – a staple for any modern premium car.
Under the bonnet, the 2021 Lamborghini Countach utilizes a 6.5-litre V12 engine that works in conjunction with a supercapacitor. The hybrid setup makes a total of 814PS which is fed to the car’s all four wheels.
The Countach dismisses the 0-100km/h sprint in just 2.8 seconds, 0-200km/h in 8.6 seconds, and then attains a top speed of 355km/h.
Limited to just 112 units (LP 112 was the internal project name used for the original Lamborghini Countach), the 2021 Countach will be manufactured as a left-hand-drive only model. So, none of those units will be allotted to India.
