2021 Mini Cooper S, John Cooper Works launched in India
Mini has updated its 3-door range, which includes the Cooper S, Cooper S Convertible and John Cooper Works, for the 2021 model year. The updated prices go between Rs 38.00-45.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
The characteristic design of these Mini models gets revised with a fresh new look. Significant new design updates include a hexagonal radiator grille, revised bumpers, new LED signatures, headlamp-integrated fog lamps and the ‘Union Jack’ signature on the tail lamps.
Updates on the inside of the 2021 Mini range include a new multifunction steering wheel with better controls, sports seats with 100% recycled materials, 5-inch driver’s display, wireless charging, touch-sensitive buttons, Piano Black accents, Harman Kardon sound system, etc.
The 2021 Mini Cooper S Hatch and Convertible are propelled by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that generates 189bhp and 280Nm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch auto gearbox.
The 2021 John Cooper Works uses the same engine but amps up the mechanical muscle to 228bhp and 320Nm. It also features a different gearbox – an 8-speed torque converter unit.
