2021 Tata Tiago NRG facelift launched in India
Even though cross-hatchbacks are pretty irrelevant nowadays, Tata Motors refuses to give up on its Tiago NRG as its 2021 facelift has been launched at Rs 6.57-7.09 lakh (ex-showroom).
The NRG commands a premium of around Rs 23,000 over the standard Tata Tiago XZ+ variant on which it is based.
At the front, the 2021 Tiago NRG facelift gains sharper headlamps and a sportier grille from the standard Tiago. However, the front bumper sports a beefier look with faux silver skid plates.
Typical of cross-hatchbacks, this car also gets heavy body cladding along the lower section of the body and over the wheel arches. Then, there are also a lot of contrast black elements to differentiate it from the standard version.
More importantly, the ground clearance on the NRG is 181mm which is 11mm higher than that on the base Tiago.
Not much is different on the inside as the 2021 Tiago NRG facelift gets an all-black dashboard with contrasting elements around the AC vents and gear lever. Notable equipment includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Harman audio system, and power-folding wing mirrors.
The car is powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that pumps out 86bhp and 113Nm. It is offered with both 5-speed manual and AMT transmission options.
