2021 Triumph Street Scrambler features
Triumph’s 900cc Street Scrambler has been upgraded with an LED headlamp as well as cosmetic changes such as a new brushed aluminium headlight mount and new throttle body finishes, to mention a few. The bike is now available in two single-tone paint schemes and one dual-tone paint scheme, thanks to Triumph’s updated colour schemes.
A twin-cradle frame, suspended on a non-adjustable 41mm fork, and twin preload-adjustable shocks hold everything together. The bike has Metzeler Tourance tyres on 19-inch/17-inch wire-spoke wheels, and the seat height is a comfortable 790mm.
The electronics remain intact, with switchable ABS and traction control, as well as three riding modes – Road, Rain, and Off-road.
2021 Triumph Street Scrambler engine & gearbox
Despite being more environmentally friendly, the 900cc parallel-twin engine still produces 65 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 80Nm of torque at 3,250 rpm. A 5-speed gearbox and chain drive transmit power to the rear wheels.
2021 Triumph Street Scrambler rivals
The Ducati Scrambler 800 series, which starts at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 8.49 lakh, is Street Scrambler’s most direct competitor. These bikes have somewhat smaller engines than the Street Scrambler, but they are more powerful and have less torque.
