2022 Aprilia SR 125 and SR 160 launched in India
Aprilia has today announced the debut of the 2022 Aprilia SR 125 and SR 160 facelifts in India, with prices starting at Rs 1.07 lakh and Rs 1.17 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom).
Dealers have already begun taking pre-orders for the revamped scooters, which can be reserved for a deposit of Rs 5,000, with delivery beginning later this month. The 2022 SR 160 and SR 125 has been modified in the cosmetic and feature aspects, just as we expected.
The 2022 SR 160’s and SR 125’s front end has been updated. Full-LED illumination has been added to the headlamp, which has been slimmed down. The tail lamp has been restyled to look like an ‘X,’ and it is also LED. In addition, air-scoops in the shape of recesses have been added to the handlebar cowl, and split-type seats have been added to the seats. Also featured is a larger grab rail.
A split seat with all-new padding will replace the single seat. The new scooter has 14-inch alloy wheels as well. Aprilia hasn’t modified the engine specifications of either scooter.
The pre-facelift model’s suspension and brakes will also be carried over. Aprilia will equip the SR twins with telescopic forks upfront and a monoshock at the back, as well as a single-channel ABS system.
To stay up with the competition, the facelifted 2022 Aprilia SR 160 and SR 125 will now have a completely digital instrument cluster. This digital cluster will have a variety of functions such as a top-speed display, an odometer and time, mileage indicator, and more. A USB connector, a boot light, and 11 litres of boot storage capacity are also included.
