2022 Honda CB300R launched with more power
The 2022 CB300R has been launched in India at a price of Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom). This updated model will be assembled in India.
At this price, the updated model is still priced pretty close to the much more powerful KTM 390 Duke.
The 2022 Honda CB300R is driven by a 286cc, four-valve DOHC engine producing 31.1hp at 9,000rpm and 27.5Nm at 7,500rpm. The BS4 engine, by comparison, produced 30.45hp at 8,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission, while the 2022 model will have a slip and assist clutch.
The 2022 model retains the majority of the previous bike’s bodywork, but Honda has made a few cosmetic changes to give it a new look. The modifications feature new colours – Matte Steel Black and Pearl Spartan Red – as well as a gold finish on the front fork, and a blacked-out headlamp bezel and radiator shrouds. Honda has also altered the style of the exhaust end can to give it a more sporty appearance.
The bike is equipped with all-LED lighting and a new LCD display that includes a gear position indicator and shift light.
Honda has made no changes to the chassis, and the bike retains the same frame, USD fork, and adjustable monoshock with seven preload settings. The braking systems are also same. Despite this, the new bike has a little larger wheelbase than the preceding model, measuring 1,352mm vs 1,344mm. Additionally, the kerb weight has been lowered by 1kg to 146kg.
Bookings for the 2022 Honda CB300R are now open, and the motorcycle will be accessible at all Big Wing dealerships across the nation. The organisation now has 88 touchpoints and plans to increase that number to 100 by the end of the fiscal year.
