2022 Hyundai Creta facelift officially teased
The current Creta’s oddball (but well accepted) design might soon be gone for good as the 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift has been officially teased.
Front end of this vehicle will be completely redesigned, bringing it in line with current models like the latest-generation Tucson (yet to arrive in India) and the newly announced Santa Cruz pickup truck marketed worldwide.
2022 Hyundai Creta facelift will have more rectangular headlights that are positioned a little lower than previously as part of the mid-cycle upgrade. The new ‘parametric grille,’ as Hyundai puts it, takes centre stage and merges in flawlessly with the front fascia and bumper.

The teaser doesn’t say if the new Creta will include the Tucson’s half-mirror LED Daytime Running Lamps, which are only visible when the car is turned on and look like an extension of the grille otherwise. The rear styling is likely to be comparable to the previously shown modestly modified version in Russia, and we expect some inside changes and extra amenities on the facelift.
Furthermore, reports claim that the Creta facelift in Indonesia would have passive safety technology such as ADAS, at least on higher models.
While the updated SUV will first go on sale in Indonesia, its India launch is still a bit far, with a debut planned in the second half of next year. The upgraded Creta for India will most likely appear similar to the one that will be unveiled in Indonesia shortly, but we expect it to have additional features given the competition in this segment is so intense.
