2022 Mahindra Scorpio: More details revealed
More facts about the next-gen 2022 Mahindra Scorpio have surfaced online, including the vehicle’s dimensions, features, mechanical improvements, and debut date.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio launch date
The Indian UV manufacturer will commemorate the Scorpio’s twentieth anniversary in July 2022, and we anticipate the new generation model will make its world debut on that occasion. However, the announcement of the pricing and the start of delivery may occur later, maybe on August 15 or October 2, going by the company’s track record.

It will be larger and broader than the present model on sale, providing greater inside room.
The new Scorpio will be devoid of several standard features including ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, and a ten-speaker audio system. It will, however, have a 360-degree camera, dual-zone temperature control, six airbags, terrain response modes, a 9-inch touchscreen with connected car technology, a digital instrument panel, all-LED headlights and taillights, sequential turn indicators, and a normal sunroof.

Another noteworthy upgrade is Mahindra’s alleged focus on the new Scorpio’s ride comfort. Since forever, this SUV’s ride quality has been a sore issue. However, it is reported to have a significantly superior ride quality versus the present generation.
The diesel engine will be available in two power outputs — 170bhp and a lesser 130bhp for the entry-level model. The petrol engine will be a 2.0-litre turbocharged unit similar to that used in the Thar and we may not see the 200 horsepower version of this motor on the 2022 Scorpio.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio price (expected)
The SUV will be available in seven- and six-seat configurations, with the latter including middle row captain chairs. The new Scorpio’s speculated starting price is Rs. 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
