2022 Toyota Glanza launched in India
Toyota India has released the upgraded 2022 Glanza in the country. The new model is more expensive than the 2022 Maruti Baleno, with which it shares practically all of its components.
2022 Toyota Glanza comes with a superior warranty package of three years/1,00,000 kilometres, which may be extended to five years/2,20,000 kilometres.
The Glanza shares the same fundamental form as the Baleno in terms of design. Toyota, on the other hand, has made subtle tweaks to separate the two.
The majority of the alterations occur on 2022 Glanza’s face. A new grille, an upgraded air dam, and a new fog light housing have been installed. Additionally, the alloy wheels are different, and one must admit that the Glanza’s appear nicer than the Baleno’s.
Under the hood, the same 1.2-litre DualJet VVT engine that powers the Baleno produces 88bhp and 113Nm of torque. There are two transmission options: a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT (automatic manual transmission) — the outgoing Glanza was only available with a CVT.
The new model gains (almost) the same equipment as the 2022 Baleno.
This time around, you’ll get a free-standing 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the newest networking options, six airbags, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, and linked car technology. It does, however, lack the sunroof that the Baleno has.
The Glanza competes against some of India’s most popular hatchbacks, including the Maruti Baleno, Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo (which is due to be phased out), and Honda Jazz.
2022 Toyota Galnza price
It is between Rs 4,000-20,000 dearer than the new Baleno.
Its ex-showroom price starts from Rs 6.39 lakh for the base E variant and goes up to Rs 9.69 lakh for the top-end V variant.
