2022 Volvo S90, XC60 launched in India
Only the top-spec B5 Inscription trim is available for the 2022 Volvo S90 and XC60 facelifts, both of which are priced at Rs 61.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The outgoing S90 and XC60, by comparison, were both priced at Rs 60.90 lakh.
The most significant update given to both models is that Volvo has replaced the diesel engines with a mild-hybrid petrol powerplant. The facelifted S90 and XC60 are now driven by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine with a 48V integrated starter-generator motor that produces 250hp and 350Nm.
The redesigned S90 was unveiled globally in February of last year, while the XC60 facelift was unveiled earlier this year. Both the sedan and the SUV undergo modest stylistic modifications as part of the facelift. The S90 has a new front grille with vertical chrome slats and a new logo, as well as a redesigned front bumper with a lower chrome strip.
The XC60 also receives a new grille and a redesigned bumper with chrome trim on the front fascia. Body-coloured inlays and a chrome strip in the rear bumper with concealed tailpipes are standard on both cars as well.

Both models now include an ‘Advanced Air Cleaner’ technology that filters cabin air and shows air quality on the infotainment screen, which is Google-powered and has the assistant built-in to provide a smartphone-like experience. The Volvo Cars app linked car technology is also available, as is Volvo’s blind spot information system (BLIS) safety function.
