50,000 units of XUV700 booked in 2 days; prices increased
As initially predicted, the Mahindra XUV700 has generated quite a buzz among potential buyers.
Bookings for the new XUV700 began yesterday, on October 7, at an introductory starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh, and the company got 25,000 reservations in only 57 minutes. Bookings for the SUV reopened today at a higher but still attractive starting price of Rs 12.49 lakh, ex-showroom, and all 25,000 units were booked in less than two hours.
In only three hours, Mahindra got 50,000 reservations for the new XUV700, translating to an ex-showroom value of about Rs 9,500 crores. The SUV is still available for booking in India, and customers may do so either online or at their local Mahindra dealership.
The tempting initial pricing, on the other hand, is no longer applicable. All subsequent bookings will be subject to the pricing in effect at the time of delivery. Mahindra will reveal the delivery details of this SUV on October 10.
