Amazon Astro robot, Echo Show 15 unveiled
Amazon has revealed two interesting new Alexa-powered devices – Astro and Echo Show 15.
Amazon Astro
The Echo Astro is a home robot that is basically aimed to make you feel like you are living in the future.
Consider it an Amazon Echo assistant speaker that can follow you around the house and keep an eye on your belongings while you’re away. You may instruct it to follow you around and conduct video calls.
It features a retractable periscope camera thanks to which, Astro may follow you from room to room, playing your favourite music, podcasts, or programmes, and finding you to deliver Alexa-controlled calls, reminders, alarms, and timers. The robot easily manoeuvres around obstacles and maintains a safe distance from people, pets, and stairwells.

Users can use the Astro app to get a live view of your house while you’re away, check-in on specific rooms and perspectives, and receive activity alerts.
It can also create reminders, send and receive messages, and do pretty much everything an Echo can. Only via invitation is the Amazon Astro accessible, which you may request right now. The Astro home robot has an introductory price of USD 999, but it will eventually rise to USD 1449.
Amazon Echo Show 15
The Echo Show 15 is much less advanced than the Astro, but it’s quite interesting nonetheless.
It’s attached to the wall and has a 15.6-inch display with Full HD quality and a front-facing camera with a closable shutter in the top left corner. You can also buy the optional table stand if you don’t want to mount it.
Widgets comprising notes, to-do lists, and a calendar view may be added. It may also be used to watch Prime Video or any other streaming service that is supported.
It has a new AZ2 quad-core processor that powers a new Visual ID function that automatically updates information based on who the device identifies. The Amazon Echo Show 15 will set you back USD 249. We also expect it to soon launch in India.
