Amazon Kindle (10th gen) launched in India
- Amazon has updated the entry-level Kindle e-book reader with a host of new features. Price of the updated model is set at Rs 7,999 in India.
- For the first time, the base Kindle has a 4 LED front lighting system with adjustable brightness. Before this, the device did not have an illuminated display.
- The ebook reader sports a 6-inch e-ink display with improved contrast and a capacitive touchscreen panel.
- Other than this, the device has a mildly updated design which makes it lighter and thinner than before for better portability.
- Shipments of the updated Kindle (10th gen) will start in India from April 10. Until then, customers can pre-book the device to avail a two-year Device Total protection plan (worth Rs 1,199) and an ebook for free.
