Apple Watch Series 5 revealed with always-on display
- The new Apple Watch Series 5 has gone official as a minor upgrade over the Series 4 model. Its starting price in India has been set at Rs 40,900.
- The smartwatch comes with a new industry-first LTPO Retina display along with a much-needed always-on display feature. The former can vary the display’s refresh rate in order to save power when not in use.
- There’s also a compass on the Apple Watch Series 5 which can tell the direction, incline, longitude and latitude.
- The watch is still offered in two sizes – 40mm and 44mm. So, it will most likely also be compatible with the watch bands of the Watch Series 4.
- Apple has also significantly reduced the price of the Watch Series 3 in India. It now starts at Rs 20,900.
