Apple Watch Series 7 official with bigger display
The Apple Watch Series 7 has gone official. The smartwatch is launching ‘this fall’ with no specific release date as of now. This delay was expected due to the ongoing global chip shortage.
The bigger, larger display on the Watch 7 in the same overall body is the most significant upgrade. Apple was able to stretch the screen to the casing’s corners by lowering the bezels to 1.7mm, which is 40 percent thinner than the Series 6. According to the firm, this allowed the display to increase by 20 percent.
The glass cover of Apple’s Watch Series 7 is considerably more resistant to cracking, and the watch also has an IP6X dust-protection rating in addition to the WR50 water resistance.
Apple has utilised the added real estate via the new WatchOS and larger buttons. the device has a full QWERTY keyboard for texting and additional text in notifications. Apple QuickPath will guess what you’re attempting to enter by using machine learning.
It is available in 41mm and 45mm casing sizes. The new watch features the same always-on Retina display as the previous versions.
The health and fitness aspects of the Apple Watch Series 7 are its main selling point. The device has a built-in Blood Oxygen sensor that tracks blood oxygen saturation (SpO2). An electrical heart rate sensor, which was originally featured on the Series 4 and is also accessible on the last-generation device, may also be used to measure heart rate. Also, the wristwatch may detect atrial fibrillation (AFib) and send an electrocardiogram (ECG) report to the user.
With the new USB-C fast charger, Apple promises the same 18-hour battery life as before, but claims that charging time has been sped up by 33 percent. The Apple Watch Series 7 can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 45 minutes.
Apple’s new Apple Watch Series 7 comes in five new colours and is built from 100 percent recyclable aluminium. As well, there will be three stainless steel versions and a titanium model.
