Aston Martin DBX debuts as brand’s first SUV
- After Bentley, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce, luxury sports carmaker Aston Martin has now also jumped into the super-premium SUV bandwagon with its new DBX.
- Just like the Urus, DBX is a relatively low and sporty SUV. It features characteristic Aston Martin design elements all-around, with that massive corporate grille and beefed up shoulder lines giving it a strong presence.
- The cabin design too is unmistakably Aston. As you’d expect, there are full grain leather-trimmed seats, loads of Alcantara, a centre console made of personalised wood, 10.25-inch infotainment screen, 12.3-inch driver’s display, 360-degree camera system, ambient lighting with 64 colour settings, and a lot more.
- The Aston Martin DBX uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 – same as the DB11 and Vantage. However, on this SUV the engine is tuned to generate 542 bhp and 699 Nm. A 9-speed automatic gearbox channels power to all to this car’s all 4 wheels.
- Also standard is an active exhaust system and as well as cylinder deactivation system. Despite being 2,245 kg heavy, the DBX is still capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
