Asus Zenfone 8 India launch confirmed
Asus has confirmed that its latest flagship, the Zenfone 8, will be soon launched in India. However, no confirmation has been given for the Zenfone 8 Flip, the company’s other flagship phone with a unique flippy camera mechanism.
The Zenfone 8 stands out from other large Android smartphones because of its footprint – its 120Hz AMOLED display is 5.9-inches in size which makes it relatively small by flagship phone standards.
The smartphone is powered by the top-notch Snapdragon 888 SoC with up to 16GB RAM. It also features an IP68 rating, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a headphone jack!
The dual rear cameras of the Zenfone 8 consist of a 64MP main unit with OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide unit. The selfie shooter features a 12MP sensor.
With a pretty aggressive global starting price of USD 679 (~Rs 50,600), the Zenfone 8 should retain its pricing strategy in India to better compete with the OnePlus 9.
