Auto Expo 2020: Mahindra eKUV100 launched at Rs 8.25 lakh
- At Auto Expo 2020, Mahindra launched the most affordable EV of India, the eKUV100, which is priced at just Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom price including FAME II subsidy).
- Powering this new Mahindra is an electric motor of 15.9 kWh capacity. The power out here is 40 kW (~54 bhp) and the torque output is 120 Nm of torque.
- On a single charge, the eKUV100 is claimed to give a driving range of 150 km. It can recharge from 0-80 per cent in just 55 minutes using a DC fast charger. A full charge with regular charging speed takes 5 hours 45 minutes.
- Aesthetically, the grille of this EV is shut off versus the combustion engine model, which aids in aerodynamics. It also gets connected car features that enable features like remotely pre-cooling the car’s cabin.
