Benelli India to launch Royal Enfield rival on October 21
- The Benelli Imperiale 400 will most likely launch in India on October 21. It will rival the Royal Enfield Classic and Jawa.
- The Imperiale 400 will be the first retro-modern offering from Benelli. It has that typical old-school vibe with a round headlamp, twin-pod instrument cluster, plenty of chrome bits and a Bullet-like silencer.
- The bike is powered by a 373.5 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which generates around 19.6 bhp of power and 28 Nm of torque. A 5-speed gearbox comes standard here. At 200kg, it is quite heavy as well.
- Since the Benelli Imperiale 400 will be assembled in India, don’t expect it to be very competitively priced. Our estimate is that it would carry a price tag of around Rs 2.3 lakh ex-showroom.
