BS6 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross petrol launched at Rs 8.39 lakh
- The long-overdue BS6 S-Cross has been launched in India at Rs 8.39-12.39 lakh (ex-showroom).
- Just like the Brezza facelift, the S-Cross has also transitioned from a diesel-only model to a petrol-only model. The new engine in question is the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol unit from the Ciaz and Brezza 104 bhp and 138 Nm. SHVS mild-hybrid tech also comes standard.
- This BS6-compliant engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a very dated 4-speed torque converter auto gearbox. It is the first time that the S-Cross is offered with an auto transmission.
- Other than the engine upgrade, the S-Cross remains exactly the same, both aesthetically as well as in terms of equipment.
