Datsun Go, Go+ CVT launched in India
- The Datsun Go hatchback and Go+ compact MPV have been launched in automatic gearbox avatars. The former starts at Rs 5.94 lakh while the latter’s starting price is set at Rs 6.58 lakh (ex-showroom).
- The automatic gearbox here is a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT), which is quite a feat since most rivals in this segment use an AMT gearbox to save costs.
- Also interesting is the fact that the Datsun Go and Go+ CVT versions produce more power when compared to their manual gearbox equipped versions – 76 bhp vs 67 bhp. The torque output, however, remains unchanged at 104 Nm.
- Equipment-wise, both cars are offered in T and T(O) trims, where the latter offers a 7.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, LED DRLs, rear wiper, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS, EBD, 14-inch alloys, etc.
