Ducati Diavel look-alike Benelli 502C launched in India
The Benelli 502C price in India has been set at Rs 4.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Since there is no other 500cc cruiser motorcycle on sale in India as of now, so this motorcycle remains in a segment of its own.
The 502C is the third Benelli based on the company’s 500cc platform, the other two being the Leoncino 500 and TRK502. They all share the same 500cc parallel-twin motor that generates 47.5hp of power and 46Nm of torque.
Coming to equipment, the Benelli 502C features a tubular steel trellis frame, a non-adjustable 41mm USD front fork, a rear monoshock, Pirelli Angel GT tyres, twin 280mm front discs, and a 240mm rear disc.
Since it’s a tourer, this motorcycle sports a large 21-litre fuel tank. However, also typical of cruisers, its kerb weight is 216kg. However, at 750mm, the seat height is pretty good for a wide variety of riders.
Goes without saying that on the aesthetics front, the Benelli 502C is so much inspired by the Diavel that it can make Ducati uncomfortable. Things like this do happen when an iconic Italian brand operates under Chinese ownership…
