Ford EcoSport facelift launch in end-2021
The Ford EcoSport is fast becoming the VW Polo of the compact SUV segment – it is ageing but a new-generation model refuses to arrive, and it’s getting a lot of facelifts to keep it relevant.
The latest spy shots reveal a camouflage EcoSport facelift being tested with a larger grille and a reprofiled front bumper with large L-shaped DRLs. Other minor updates such as new interior trim and more features are also expected.
Mechanically, not much will change on the car and it is expected to carry forward the current version’s 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines.
The updated EcoSport will arrive in showrooms towards the end of this year and it looks like the next-generation model of this compact SUV is still some time away.
Launched back in 2013, the Ford EcoSport helped popularise the compact SUV segment, as a result of which, this segment now has over 10 contenders fiercely competing against each other!
