As expected, Samsung has revealed its flagship smartphones and tablets of 2022 – Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S8 series. Let’s focus on the phones in this article.
Samsung Galaxy S22 specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S22 is powered by Android 12 and comes pre-installed with One UI 4.1. The smartphone boasts a 6.1-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display covered by Gorilla Glass Victus+, and an Armor Aluminium chassis.
Additionally, the display has Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield for enhanced blue light protection and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate that can be reduced to as low as 10Hz.
It is powered by an octa-core 4nm SoC (Exynos 2200/Snapdragon 8 Gen 1) and 8GB of RAM.
Samsung S22 features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP Dual Pixel wide-angle sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens and autofocus; a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 120-degree field of view; and a 10MP telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens and 3x optical zoom (OIS).
Additionally, the S22 includes a 10MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an 80-degree field of vision.
Samsung S22 has up to 256GB of internal storage, as well as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C connector. The accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, geomagnetic, gyroscope, hall, and proximity sensor are all on board.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus specifications
It is mostly similar to the base S22, but features a larger 6.6-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with compatibility for Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield blue light filter, an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate that can be reduced to 10Hz, and a maximum brightness of 1,750 nits.
The S22 Plus is powered by the same octa-core 4nm chipsets but comes with up to 12GB of RAM.
It is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery that supports a faster 45W fast charging, as well as 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging.
Other than these differences, the S22 and S22 Plus remain the similar.
Galaxy S22 Ultra specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the first S-series smartphone to include an S Pen stylus inside the body, with a 70 percent reduced latency than the Note 20 Ultra.
The smartphone is powered by Android 12 and comes pre-installed with One UI 4.1. In comparison to the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus, which offer FHD+ screens, the Galaxy S22 Ultra features a massive 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate that can be reduced to 1Hz.
The display is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus+ and features a 1,750 nit maximum brightness. Additionally, the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s display features upgraded Wacom technology to provide S Pen capability enhancements like decreased latency.
The phone is equipped with the same region-dependent octa-core 4nm chipsets and up to 12 GB of RAM.
Samsung S22 Ultra features a quad back camera configuration, including a 108MP wide-angle camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens. Additionally, the smartphone is equipped with a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 10MP telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens and 3x optical zoom capability.
Additionally, the Ultra features a fourth 10MP telephoto camera with an f/4.9 aperture and 10x optical zoom. As with its predecessor, the camera has 10x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom with AI Super Resolution technology. The phone also has a 40MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be available in storage capacities of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. 5G, 4G LTE, UWB, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C connector are all available connectivity choices.

It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that enables fast charging at 45W, as well as wireless charging at 15W, and reverse wireless charging through Wireless PowerShare.
