Gaming-focused Asus ROG Phone 2 launched at Rs 37,999
- The Asus ROG Phone 2 gaming phone, which undoubtedly is one of the most over-spec’d phones of 2019, has been launched in India at a value-for-money price tag of Rs 37,999 of the base variant. The higher variant is much more expensive at Rs 59,999.
- Powered by the flagship Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, the ROG Phone 2 is offered in 8GB/ 128GB and 12GB/ 512GB storage variants. The latter is much more expensive because it comes bundled with 30W fast charger, AeroActive Cooler and Aero Case inside the retail box, which the former lacks.
- The phone has a 6.69-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh and 10-bit HDR support. The battery capacity is a pretty massive 6,000mAh as well.
- For optimal gaming experience, the device makes use of vents that lead the heat away from the vapour chamber to the external vents. Also onboard are front-facing stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra support as well as a headphone jack.
- For optics, the Asus ROG Phone 2 uses a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary rear camera that comes combined with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle module with 125-degree field of view. Up front, there’s a 24MP selfie shooter.
- Asus has also launched compatible gaming accessories for this phone. The TwinView Dock is priced at Rs. 19,999, Mobile Desktop station at Rs 12,999, ROG Kunai Gamepad at Rs 9,999, and the 30W fast charger (for the base variant) will also be sold at Rs 1,999.
