Google Pixel Buds 2, Nest Mini revealed
Pixel Buds 2
- The all-new Pixels Buds 2 ditch the string connecting the two earbuds in favour of a new truly wireless design.
- Coming inside a new oval-shaped charging case, the new Pixel Buds retains the previous-gen model’s main features such as always-on Google Assistant, live translation and music control.
- New features here include Adaptive Sound which can adjust the volume by itself depending on the external environment. The Pixel Buds can now also suppress the outside noise to ake call quality better.
- Costing USD 179 the Pixel Buds 2 can last 5 hours on a single charge. The number goes up to 24 hours when the case’s battery is taken into consideration. Water resistance and wireless charging are standard as well.
Nest Mini
- The new Nest Mini is the next version of the Home Mini and it looks exactly identical to its predecessor, albeit with a new wall-mount at the bottom.
- There are changes under the hood though as the speaker is claimed to be much bigger to deliver a fuller audio output with better bass.
- Also new are capacitive buttons for volume control which light up in the form of LEDs when you wave your hand over the speaker.
- As before, the Google Nest Mini is priced at USD 49.
- Additionally, Google has also announced Nest WiFi which combines a mesh router with the same speaker unit that’s found on the new Nest Mini. This device succeeds the Google WiFi and is priced at USD 169.
