How to disable weather widget on Windows 11
Most Microsoft users’ laptops and PCs are receiving the latest Windows 11 update. Microsoft has made a few modifications beginning with Windows 11 Build 22518, including Spotlight desktop wallpapers and a voice access accessibility feature.
In addition, Microsoft changed the way you access the Windows 11 widgets. You’ll notice an icon on the taskbar in the Windows 11 Weather Widget that looks similar to the Windows 10 News and Interests Widget. It keeps you up to date on the current weather and temperature in your city.
Regardless of how useful the Windows 11 weather widget is or how interested you are in the updates, the instant triggering on your screen may bother you at times. How to disable weather widget on Windows 11
Step 1: To turn off the widgets option in Windows 11, first right-click anywhere on the taskbar and select ‘Taskbar Settings.’
Step 2: On your displays, enter the Taskbar Settings page, and disable the Widgets toggle bar by flipping to the left to turn it off under ‘Taskbar items,’ and then… wait! It’s finished! In only two easy steps. The weather widget has been removed from the Windows 11 taskbar.
With this process, the capability of widgets in Windows 11 will not be completely eliminated. If you click ‘Windows Key + W’ on the keyboard or just move the toggle bar in Step 2 to the right, the widgets menu will appear, but it will not remove the button from your taskbar.
If you find the weather widget in Windows 11 useful, you should consider re-enabling them again. Others may see them as another pointless extension to Windows’ core functionality.
