How to transfer Spotify playlists to Apple Music
If you’ve used Spotify for a long time and built a lot of playlists, you’d be wary of switching to a rival service like Apple Music. People don’t want to think about having to build all of those playlists over from scratch. But what if there was a way to move all of those playlists at the same time? You can move Spotify playlists to Apple Music in a few simple steps.
How to transfer Spotify playlists to Apple Music
- Download “Free Your Music” from their official website. It’s available for all major platforms – Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux.
- After installing the software on the operating system of your choice, click the “Let’s Go!” button to connect to your source platform (the place you’ll be moving the playlists from).
- On the left, you will choose Spotify as the source, and then log into it. On the right, you can choose where you want to send the file. Here, it’s Apple Music. So click on that and sign in to Apple Music, then.
- You’ll now get a message to say that both services have been linked. Sometimes the connection doesn’t work, and you have to try again before it works again. You’ve done well if you get this message.
- It will now load your Spotify playlists. You can choose from Playlists, Playlists that you like, or Albums when you choose what to play. You can either choose them all at once or choose the ones you want to move. It then says “Begin Transfer.”
- When it starts to move, you’ll be able to see it. It starts with each song and tries to find it on Apple Music. Then, it makes your playlist. If you have a lot of songs in one playlist, so the whole matching process will take a long time. Then, just let it run in the background as you work on something else.
- Soon, when you check Apple Music, you’ll see your music playlists.
- Note that Free Your Music lets you move only 100 songs for free. There is a one-time fee of USD 11.99 (~Rs 910) after that to move the rest.
And there you have it! It’s definitely not free, but a one-time fee will let you easily transfer your music playlists from one app to another.
