Hyundai Alcazar bookings open
Hyundai has opened bookings for the upcoming Alcazar SUV for a token amount of Rs 25,000.
For those unaware, the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar is the 6/7-seat version of the popular Creta, much like what MG Hector Plus is to Hector and Tata Safari is to Harrier. As expected, the 6-seat version will feature captain seats in the second row.
Interestingly, the Alcazar will only share its diesel engine with the Creta. The petrol unit will be a bigger 2.0-litre motor from the Elantra that generates 157bhp and 192Nm. Both engines will come with an optional 6-speed torque converter auto gearbox as well.
On the outside, the Hyundai Alcazar will get a modified front grille with more chrome to differentiate it from the Creta. The rear of the former is much different though, it features a cleaner, almost Ford Endeavour-like tail-lamp setup.
The design of the dashboard is shared with Creta and so is the equipment. The top-end variant will offer a 10.25-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, ventilated seats and wireless charging among many other features. automatic climate control among others.
