Hyundai i20 N Line launched in India
The Hyundai i20 N Line has been launched in India in 3 variants – N6 iMT, N8 iMT and N8 DCT. The price of this souped-up hatchback has been set at Rs 9.84-11.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
If you’d like to buy your i20 N Line in a dual-tone shade, then you’ll have to shed Rs 15,000 extra.
Anyway, the 2021 Hyundai i20 N Line features a sportier suspension setup for better handling, a throaty exhaust note, paddle shifters on the automatic version, and all four disc brakes, in order to justify its sporty intentions.
Visually, the car gets a host of racy updates, notably revised dual-tone bumpers with red accents, chequered flag-inspired grille design, a front splitter, new 16-inch alloys, dual-exhausts, red-coloured brake calipers, and a bigger rear spoiler.
The car continues with the 120hp/178Nm turbo petrol engine that’s also found on the standard i20 as well as the Verna. Obviously, plonking the bigger 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine under this car’s bonnet would have definitely taken things to a whole new level!
Also slightly disappointing is the fact that no true 6-speed manual option is on offer on the i20 N Line. Instead, it will be offered with a 6-speed iMT clutchless manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT auto gearbox.
