Hyundai i20 N Line unleashed
Hyundai’s sporty N Line range has finally debuted in India with the new i20 N Line. It will launch in September and is expected to cost over Rs 1 lakh more than the standard i20.
If you were expecting Hyundai’s bigger 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine on the i20 N Line then prepare for disappointment because it will continue to be sold with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor (120hp/178Nm) that’s available on the standard version as well.
It will be offered in two transmission options – a 6-speed iMT clutchless manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic. A true 6-speed manual will not be offered here.
However, the N Line brings a sportier suspension setup for better handling, a sportier exhaust note, paddle shifters on the automatic version, and all four disc brakes for better braking performance.
Then, the i20 N Line banks heavily on aesthetic updates over the standard car. You get a revised dual-tone bumper with sporty red accents, chequered flag-inspired grille design, a front splitter, new 16-inch alloys with N Line logo, red brake calipers, twin-exhaust pipes, and a larger rear spoiler.
It will go on sale in 4 colours – Thunder blue (N-Line exclusive), Fiery red, Titan grey and Polar white, with the first two available in single or dual colour options.
On the inside, the 2021 Hyundai i20 N Line features an all-black interior with red accents and red ambient lighting. It will also get a new bespoke N Line steering, as well as N Line logos on the seats.
