Hyundai N Line range coming to India; i20 N Line teased
Hyundai will bring its performance-focused N-Line range to India very soon. The South Korean company has also teased the i20 N Line which will be the first launch of this new lineup.
Hyundai’s N Line range is more like what that ill-fated Fiat did with the little-known Abarth sports brand in India. It brings sportier exteriors & interiors, a driving-centric suspension setup, as well as a throatier exhaust note to standard Hyundai cars.
The Hyundai i20 N Line, which is confirmed to launch in 2021 itself, will get the 120 horsepower, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, but there will be a sportier exhaust and suspension enhancements over the standard i20.
Obviously, the i20 N Line will also announce its arrival with obvious aesthetic changes such as different bumpers, sportier-looking grille, side skirts, twin-exhaust pipes, larger wheels with grippier tyres, etc.
N Line sits under Hyundai’s full-blown ‘N’ lineup, which is more like what M is to BMW and AMG to Mercedes. In the future, even Hyundai N performance cars could be imported to India.
