Jaguar XF facelift launched in India
The Jaguar XF facelift has been released in our market, with pricing beginning at Rs 71.60 lakh and rising to Rs 76 lakh (ex-showroom). It reintroduces the diesel engine, which had been phased out during the changeover to BS6 standards. In India, the new XF is only available in a fully loaded R-Dynamic S trim.
Unlike the pre-facelift model, which was assembled in India, the new XF facelift arrives in India as an import (CBU) for the time being. It is, of course, far more expensive than its locally assembled competitors like the Audi A6, Volvo S90, BMW 5 Series and Merc E Class.
While the aesthetic changes to the XF facelift are minor, the sedan does appear to be crisper and more elegant overall. The new R-Dynamic S trim level adds to the car’s athletic look. It receives a bigger grille with a mesh design up front, as well as slimmer quad Pixel LED headlights with a new ‘Double J Blade’ DRL signature.
With bigger air intakes, the front bumper is more aggressively designed. The changes in profile are confined to new alloy wheels with the R-Dynamic S trim, while the new XF receives thinner LED tail lights and a revised bumper at the back.
With a newly reworked dashboard, the inside of the XF facelift receives a much more extensive upgrade. The new Pivi Pro infotainment system, which is identical to that seen in other current Jaguar Land Rover cars, features a 11.4-inch floating curved touchscreen. A new 12.3-inch high-definition digital instrument cluster, a new button-heavy but sporty-looking steering wheel, a new stubby gear lever that replaces the previous rotary dial, and new rotary-dial based AC control knobs are among the other significant upgrades.

The quality of materials is a major upgrade over the pre-facelift model, with trim, upholstery, and switchgear transferred directly from the Range Rover SUV. Open-pore wood on the dashboard, higher-quality leather upholstery, brushed aluminium window controls, and machined aluminium speaker grilles are among the high-end components used in the cabin.
The P250 is equipped with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 250hp and 365Nm of peak torque. The XF diesel D200 is equipped with a 2.0-litre engine that generates 203 horsepower and 430Nm of torque, as well as mild-hybrid technology. Both engines are linked to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that solely sends power to the back wheels.
