Jawa Khakhee, Midnight Grey editions launched to mark 1971 war victory
The classic Jawa has been launched in two new special colours to mark India’s victory in the 1971 war. These colours are called Khakhee and Midnight Grey, and both are priced at Rs 1.93 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Both editions feature matt colours with blacked-out cycle parts like rims and exhaust.
There’s also an exclusive insignia on the fuel tank of these bikes that commemorates 50 years of the 1971 war victory. Jawa claims to be the first company that has been allowed to use this symbol on a production bike.
Mahindra-owned Jawa will also contribute to an armed forces fund through these special edition bikes. Also, these editions will be used for Indian Army celebratory rides as well.
Powering the Jawa special editions is an updated 293cc single-cylinder engine that generates 27.33 horsepower and 27.02Nm of torque – the very same engine tune that debuted on the updated Jawa 42 2.1.
