Jio Phone Next launch delayed
On September 10, the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Jio Phone Next was expected to be launched in India. However, consumers who were looking forward to getting their hands on the Jio Phone Next will be unhappy to learn that it has been delayed.
Reliance issued an official statement announcing that the much-anticipated budget Android phone will now be launched before Diwali.
The company also stated that this first Jio smartphone, which is created in collaboration with Google, is presently in the advanced testing stage. The date for Diwali 2021 is November 4, thus the JioPhone Next should be available by the end of October. The precise release date has yet to be announced.
The global chip shortage, according to Reliance, is the main reason for delaying the introduction of the Jio Phone Next smartphone.
Since the previous several months, a global shortage of semiconductors has impacted a variety of sectors, including smartphones, vehicles, and video game consoles, among others. Jio hopes that delaying the launch will aid in “mitigating the present industry-wide, worldwide chip shortages.”
