Kia Sonet crosses 1 lakh sales milestone real quick
Kia India is on a roll! The Sonet compact SUV has surpassed one lakh sales milestone in India. That’s quite a feat for a car that was launched only in September last year.
During the same time period, the Sonet also became the country’s fourth most popular SUV, according to Kia. The Brezza-rival accounts for around 32 percent of Kia India’s overall sales and almost 17 percent of the segment.

According to the Kia, top-of-the-line Sonet versions accounted for over 64 percent of overall sales. Around 30 percent of consumers chose the Sonet’s variant with connected car tech, while 26 percent liked the Sonet’s iMT gearbox option. Furthermore, the 1.5-litre diesel model with automatic gearbox accounted for nearly 10 percent of total sales.
A few weeks back, Kia India had also revealed that it has sold 3 lakh cars within 2 years. This made it the fastest carmaker to do so in India.
