Kinetic Motoroyale may have shut down
Motoroyale, the multi-brand superbike distributor owned by Kinetic, has likely gone out of business. As per a report, the brand’s website is no longer operational and its dealerships have also shut down.
If you don’t remember Motoroyale, here’s a quick reminder. Motoroyale is (was?) India’s only brand which brought five international premium bike companies under one roof. These companies include MV Agusta, Norton, Hyosung, FB Mondial and SWM.
However, the British superbike brand Norton was bought by our homebrewed TVS last year and Italian exotic bike maker MV Agusta has also cut ties with the brand recently and is now looking for a new local partner.
Furthermore, the BS6 emission norm implementation left Motoroyale with no motorcycle to be eligible for sale in India. This left the company with just 3 brands – Hyosung, FB Mondial and SWM, all of which don’t have much presence in the country.
An official statement on Motoroyale’s current situation is still awaited.
