LG Velvet mid-range smartphone revealed
- The much-hyped LG Valvet has been officially revealed by the Korean electronic giant. The new mid-range Velvet series is allegedly the spiritual successor of the previous flagship G-series of smartphones.
- The phone adopts a brand new design language with its raindrop-style triple rear camera array. It includes a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP depth sensor.
- The display is a tall 6.8-inch OLED unit which has curved sides. Surprisingly, the 16MP selfie camera is placed inside a rather dated waterdrop notch.
- Powering the new LG Velvet is a Snapdragon 765G chip which is hooked up with 8GB RAM and 128 GB ROM. The device is also IP68-rated and proudly features a headphone jack as well.
- Fuelled by a 4,300mAh battery (with wireless charging support), the Velvet is priced at around USD 700 globally, which is on the higher side. However, if launched in India, its price may be lower.
