Mahindra Bolero Neo (TUV300 facelift) launched in India
The Mahindra Bolero Neo has been launched in India at Rs 8.48-9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the facelifted version of the TUV300 which has now been discontinued.
The only body on frame compact SUV around, the Bolero Neo gets a new face versus its predecessor. There are revised headlamps, a more modern grille with added chrome and reprofiled bumpers. The rear looks more or the same as before.
Despite being a 2WD model, this compact SUV gets ‘multi-terrain technology’ with a limited-slip differential for added traction when required.
On the inside, the basic cabin design is retained but the Bolero Neo gets new interior colours as well as an updated infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen.
Powering this vehicle is a 3-cylinder 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine that churns out 100bhp of power and 260Nm of torque. Only a 5-speed manual transmission is offered for the time being.
Previously, Mahindra tried a similar rebranding exercise with the unsuccessful Quanto and called it NuvoSport after a facelift, but the latter tanked as well. Let’s hope the company is luckier with the Bolero Neo.
