Mahindra XUV300 wins Global NCAP Safer Choice award
- The Mahindra XUV300 has become the first-ever made-in-India car to receive the Safer Choice award by Global NCAP.
- To win this award, a car must get a 5-star score for adult occupant protection and a minimum of a 4-star score in child occupant protection. Then, it must also have standard/ optional ESC and also meet pedestrian protection norms.
- The Mahindra XUV300, in January 2020, received an overall 5-star Global NCAP crash test rating (5 stars for adult and 4 stars for child occupant protection), making it the only made-in-India car to ever do so.
- On the safety front, the XUV300 comes with up to 7 airbags, ABS, corner braking control, ISOFIX seat anchors, ESC, 3-point seatbelts for all occupants, front parking sensors and second-row seatbelt reminder as either standard or optional (depending on the variant).
