MG Astor details leaked
A new report suggests that the upcoming MG Astor will be fully revealed in India on September 15. The same report also details some key specifications of the SUV.
MG Astor variants
The MG Astor is expected to come in five different models: Style, Super, Smart, Sharp, and Savvy.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Intelligent Headlamp Control (IHC), Rear Drive Assist (RDA), and Speed Assist System are already known to be included in the SUV. The top-spec Savvy variant will have ADAS, six airbags, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
MG Astor engine & gearbox
Two petrol engine options will be available on this SUV. The 1.5-litre engine is reported to be identical to the Hector’s, but with lesser power output. It will be available with a manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine is reported to be the more powerful of the two and it will come with a 6-speed automatic transmission. However, its power and torque figures are still awaited.
MG Astor colours
White, Red, Orange, Black, and Silver will be among the colour choices for the Astor.
While MG has yet to announce the Astor’s official launch date, several dealerships have begun accepting pre-orders for an amount of Rs 50,000. The SUV is expected to be available by the end of October, according to reports.
