Microsoft Surface Pro 8, Surface Pro 7 Plus launched in India
Priced at Rs. 1,04,499 for the Wi-Fi only variant and Rs. 1,27,599 for the LTE model, the Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is finally available in India. It is also worth noting that Microsoft’s Surface Pro 7 has also been launched with a starting price of Rs 83,999 for the Wi-Fi variant and Rs 1,09,499 for the LTE model.
Official resellers and e-commerce sites like Amazon and Reliance Digital will begin selling these tablets next month. Select partners will be able to offer the Surface Pro Signature Keyboard for purchase, and Microsoft will include it for free with pre-orders from select partners.
Powered by 11th Gen Intel Core CPUs, the Microsoft Surface Pro 8 was globally revealed in September 2021. It is developed on the Intel Evo architecture for ultra-slim devices. It has two Thunderbolt 4 connections and, according to Microsoft, is more than twice as fast as the Surface Pro 7.
Up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage are available in the Wi-Fi variant for the Surface Pro 8. The Surface Pro 8 has a PixelSense touch screen with a resolution of 2880×1920 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. There’s a 5MP front-facing camera for video chats, and a 10MP back camera that can record 4K video at 30 frames per second.

In addition to the Surface Slim Pen 2, the new Surface Pro Signature Keyboard (which houses and charges it) is compatible with Surface Pro 8. According to Microsoft, the device has a battery life of 16 hours. On the Wi-Fi variant, you’ll find support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and two Thunderbolt 4 connectors. The LTE model, on the other hand, has a SIM card slot.
Microsoft’s Surface Pro 7 Plus comes with 11th Gen Intel Core processors and up to 32GB of RAM on the Wi-Fi model and up to 16GB of RAM on the LTE model for consumers who don’t want to spend as much on the company’s most powerful Surface Pro. Intel UHD graphics power the Surface Pro 7 Plus’ Core i3 model, while Intel Iris Xe graphics power its Core i5 and Core i7 variants.
The Surface Pro 7 Plus has PixelSense touch display with a pixel density of 267ppi. Its size is 12.3 inches. For the Wi-Fi-only model, it has up to 1TB of “removable” SSD storage; for the LTE model, the maximum storage capacity is 256GB.
With a 5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing camera, the Surface Pro 7 Plus can make FHD video chats and capture 1080p HD video. A microSD card reader and the Surface Connect charging port are also included in the Wi-Fi variant in addition to the usual assortment of ports: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and USB Type-A. The LTE model, on the other hand, has a SIM card slot.
