OnePlus 9RT allegedly leaks
Alright, since the OnePlus 9T is reportedly canceled, it seems like the company is not giving up on its ‘T’ upgrades because the OnePlus 9RT has been allegedly leaked.
So what new changes does the ‘T’ generation get this time around? Well, just one, which is the camera system from the Nord 2.
Leaks point towards a new 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor at the back with a 16MP ultra-wide shooter, and two additional (read utterly useless) 2MP sensors.
Otherwise, it’s all familiar – Snapdragon 870 SoC, up to 12GB RAM, 120Hz AMOLED display, 4,500mAh battery, 65W fast charging, et al.
This will give the 9R a much required camera upgrade, since the Nord 2 launched with a superior camera system than the former, at least on paper.
It makes all the sense in the world for OnePlus to discontinue the 9R once the OnePlus 9RT goes official in October, because selling both the 9R and 9RT side by side would make up for quite a confusing lineup for OnePlus.
