OnePlus 9RT official with Snapdragon 888 chipset
The OnePlus 9R has been updated, and the OnePlus 9RT, its successor, offers numerous upgrades, including a more powerful SoC, a slightly redesigned design, and improved cameras.
OnePlus 9RT specifications
The new 9RT boasts a slightly updated design with a new camera module that resembles the flagship OnePlus 9. It has Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 processor, which is a significant upgrade over the Snapdragon 870 found in its predecessor, as well as up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. In order to deliver superior thermals with a more powerful processor, OnePlus has added a bigger vapour chamber to the device.
A 6.62-inch FHD+ 120Hz Samsung E4 AMOLED display with a left-aligned hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera and low bezels on all sides is featured on the OnePlus 9RT. The panel has a touch sampling rate of 600Hz, which is rather remarkable.

The OnePlus 9RT’s primary camera is a considerable increase over the previous model, with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor replacing the 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor. Because this is the same sensor used in the ultra-wide angle cameras on the premium OnePlus 9 pair, you can anticipate some better results from the phone.
A 16MP ultra-wide camera and a macro camera complement the primary camera. The phone has a 16MP selfie camera on the front.
The rest of the parameters haven’t changed much. The smartphone retains OnePlus’ distinctive alert slider, a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging capability, a USB Type-C connector, an in-display fingerprint reader, dual stereo speakers, and a USB Type-C port.
The 9RT supports 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless communication.
OnePlus 9RT price in India (expected)
The 9R starts at Rs 40,000 in the country, so, you can expect the 9RT to be slightly pricier, maybe with a starting price of Rs 44-45,000. On a brighter note, OnePlus may discontinue the 9R and replace it with the 9RT at the same price. Now that would be pretty nice!
