OnePlus Buds Z2 design tipped
With the release of the OnePlus Buds last year, the company joined the truly wireless earbuds bandwagon. The company later released the OnePlus Buds Z, which featured a longer battery life, faster charging support, and improved water resistance at a cheaper price.
The upcoming OnePlus Buds Z2 appears to be a direct sequel to the Buds Z, or a more inexpensive version of the Buds Pro, and a fresh leak by 91mobiles has given additional information on the forthcoming device.
OnePlus Buds Z2 design
The renders are based on real-world photos and are said to reflect the final design. The OnePlus Buds Z2 looks quite similar to last year’s model, with cylindrical stems and a glossy, flat rear panel.
Buds Z2 also include smaller silicone ear tips, which should make them more pleasant to use for longer periods of time. Furthermore, the TWS earbuds appear to include a wear-detection sensor, which was absent from the Buds Z.

The earbuds come in the same pill-shaped charging case as their predecessor. The casing has a USB Type-C connection as well as a green LED.
OnePlus Buds Z2 specifications
For the time being, the technical specs of these upcoming Bluetooth earbuds are unclear. OnePlus was working on a set of cheap earbuds featuring Active Noise Cancellation, according to a previous rumour.
In terms of release timing, 91mobiles expects OnePlus will release the new earbuds in October. This corresponds to the release date of last year’s Buds Z. Meanwhile, the speculated OnePlus 9RT is also slated to come in October.
