OnePlus Nord name confirmed for upcoming mid-range smartphone
- The much-awaited mid-range phone from OnePlus, which was previously rumoured to be either christened OnePlus 8 Lite or OnePlus Z, is now confirmed to launch as the OnePlus Nord.
- The Chinese company has already been teasing this phone on its ‘OnePlusZLiteThing’ Instagram account. However, the Nord name was recently confirmed in a now-deleted post on the same account.
- Early July is when this smartphone is expected to go official, which means that it’s not too far away now. India and Europe will be the first markets to get it.
- Rumoured specs of the OnePlus Nord include a flat hole-punch AMOLED display with 90 Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 765G SoC (some reports also point towards a MediaTek Dimensity 1000 SoC), 64MP quad-rear cameras, 4,300mAh battery and 30W fast charging.
- The rumoured price in India of this phone is Rs 25,000, which is quite refreshing to say at least, since OnePlus phones have been getting pretty expensive with every update.
