Oppo A93s revealed with Dimensity 700 SoC
The new Oppo A93s has gone official as an affordable 5G smartphone. It will go on sale on July 30 in China and its India launch should follow pretty soon.
Oppo’s new A93s is quite similar to the A93, with one difference being the chipset. The former is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, while the latter uses the Snapdragon 480.
The display on the Oppo A93s is a 6.5” LCD unit with a 90Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. There’s also a hole punch up front that houses an 8MP selfie shooter.
Primary optics on this smartphone are taken care of by a 48MP camera alongside two rather useless 2MP sensors, one each for depth sensing and macro photos.
The battery capacity on the Oppo A93s is quite large 5,000mAh, however, don’t expect Oppo’s VOOC charging magic here, all you get is support for a rather basic 18W fast charging.
Despite its budget phone nature, the A93s comes with 8GB of RAM and a pretty impressive 256GB of storage as standard.
